Chrissie, Amanda, David and his family and Denis' brother John thank most sincerely all who gave Denis the gift of their sincere friendship throughout his life and illness. Those who thought and remembered him in their prayers, visits, phone calls and messages, he really appreciated it.

 

Thank you to everyone who cared for Denis at home, and during his time in St. Oliver's Ward, St Finbarr's Hospital and the Mercy University Hospital, where Denis spent his final weeks of life in St. Mary's Ward. 

 

Special thank you to Fr. Michael Corkery for his regular visits to Denis. A special word of thanks to those who supported Denis and us throughout his illness. 

 

We wish to thank everyone who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to all those who visited our home, wake and funeral. For those who telephoned, travelled from near and far, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolence, we are truly grateful. 

 

A special thanks to those who helped in any way in our home during the wake. A heartfelt thanks to Fr. Michael Corkery for his help, kindness and support, his visits to the house and for conducting a meaningful and personal celebration of Denis' life. 

 

Thank you to Catherine for the lovely music and hymns. Thank you to Bridie the sacristan, Eucharistic minister and anyone who participated in the funeral.

 

Denis would have been proud of the guard of honour from his much loved Ballygarvan GAA friends and teammates who also carried his coffin, we thank you for this kind gesture.

 

Thank you to Mick and Tom who prepared Denis' final resting place. To James and Killian and everyone at Ronayne Funeral Directors, thank you for your kindness and compassion.

 

To all our dear friends and family, who are too numerous to mention, sincere thank you for your unwavering support in our greatest time of need please accept our gratitude. 

 

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. the sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

 

Denis' First Anniversary Mass will be at 8pm on Friday, 22nd December at Holy Cross Church, Glanworth.
