ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & 1ST ANNIVERSARY 20TH DECEMBER 2025

 

In loving memory of Dominic, beloved husband of the late Maureen, a cherished Dad, a devoted Grandfather and Great Granddad. His loss is deeply felt and has left a huge void in our hearts.

 

Our heartfelt thanks to the Carers and the Kinsale District Nurses for taking care of Dominic in his final days. We would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Marymount Hospital and Hospice while he was in their care. Also our deepest gratitude to Dr. Tony Lynch and his staff at the MediCentre, Wilton Road and all the Staff of Dennehy's Cross Pharmacy for their excellent service in Dominic's final years.

 

We so greatly appreciate all those who joined us at the Wake, Rosary, Funeral Mass and Burial to celebrate Dominic's life. Your presence, stories, memories, support and thoughtful gestures were a huge comfort to us all at that time. Thanks to those who sent mass cards, letters of sympathy and gave charitable donations, we are very grateful.

 

Special thanks to Fr. Finbarr Crowley PP and Fr. Paul Thettayil IC for attending Dominic in his final weeks, for the support and comfort you brought to him, also for the Rosary prayers and Funeral Mass, it was a wonderful send off. Thanks also to Jack McCarthy, Sacristan at St. Mary's Church, Innishannon and to Ms. Angela Ryan for the beautiful singing and music throughout the Ceremony.

 

Sincere thanks to Fordes Funeral Directors, South Gate Bridge for their Professionalism, thoughtfulness and guidance in the days after Dominic's passing.

We were delighted that both Bishopstown GAA and Valley Rovers GAA did a Guard of Honour for our Father outside the Church. 

We would like to thank our extended family, friends and Dad's neighbours, especially Sean Sugrue, who visited Dad nearly every day.

Dominic was the last surviving member of his immediate family, his parents Daniel & Julia, his brothers Con,Timmy & Donal and his sisters Mairead, May & Una have all gone to their eternal rest. 

 

Dominic is lovingly remembered by his daughters Virginia (Ring), Caroline (O' Sullivan) & Sinead, his sons Niall and Mark, his grandchildren Haley, Ciara, Luke, Scott, Jessica, Blake, Nicole, Stefan & Darragh, his great grandchildren Ava, Liadh, Mia, Jaxon, Jade, Cillian, Keegan and Rowan, his son in laws Tony & Mark, his daughter in laws Valerie & Louise and also all his in-laws, nieces and nephews.

 

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

 

ALSO THINKING OF OUR MOTHER MAUREEN (NEE LYNCH) WHOSE 4TH. ANNIVERSARY IS NEW YEARS EVE DECEMBER 31ST.
