Dorothy’s brothers Jimmy & John, her sister-in-law Jean, her nieces, nephews, cousins, & all her family would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you for the love & respect shown to Dorothy & the support they have received throughout her recent sad passing.
Thank you to those who called to the funeral home & to those who attended Dorothy’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, especially those who travelled long distances. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories, kind & thoughtful words online & those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Dorothy’s life via webcam. Thanks also to those who donated generously to Arklow Lifeboat in Dorothy’s memory;
Our deepest appreciation to the wonderful kind staff of Middletown House Retirement Village & Nursing Home where Dorothy has been so happy for the past number of years.
Special thanks to Fr. Michael Murphy for his comforting prayers & beautiful funeral Mass, to the sacristy team at St. Joseph’s Church & to Karla Tracey & Bridget Kenny for such lovely music.
To Dorothy’s former colleagues, neighbours & the many friends she made throughout her life who have been in touch to let us know how much she meant to them, your words & thoughts have brought us much comfort. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thanks also to the management & staff of the Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to Jason & Tom for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors, especially to Niamh for all her support, wise counsel and professionalism throughout.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Dorothy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 14th December at 11.30am in St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam:
