 Eamon Burke

Coolboy, Beech Road, Arklow, Wicklow

Eamon’s wife Mary, daughter Mary, sons Eamonn, David, Clive, Darragh & Jonathan & all our family wish to express our most sincere gratitude for the overwhelming kindness & support shown to us throughout our recent heartbreaking loss.

Thank you to everyone who visited our home, attended Eamon's removal, funeral Mass & cremation service, sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories & warm messages online, those who travelled long distances to offer comfort & support & those who couldn’t be present but joined in Eamon’s funeral Mass & cremation service via webcam.

Our most sincere thanks to the team of the Liver Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital for their great care over the past seventeen years & to the exceptional staff of St. Vincent’s I.C.U. who brought such comfort & care to Eamon’s final days. We would like to extend our thanks to all those who donated generously to St. Vincent’s Foundation in Eamon’s memory.

To our wonderful neighbours, extended family & friends, the kindness & support shown to us will never be forgotten. Thank you to those of you who managed traffic & parking over the few days & those who helped out in any way.

Special thanks to Fr. Padraig Ó’Cochláin for his prayers & words of comfort, to Fr. David Brough for celebrating Eamon’s beautiful funeral Mass & to our dear friends Geraldine Delaney & Bridget Kenny for such fabulous music. Thanks also to Fr Martin Cosgrove & Fr Michael Murtagh for celebrating Eamon’s cremation service.

Thank you to the crew of Arklow Lifeboat & the team from the Arklow Seabreeze Festival for their Guard of Honour & to piper Ray Finn for his lovely tribute.

Thanks also to the management & staff of The Bridge Hotel for their generous hospitality & to Eamon’s colleagues, past & present at John Sweeney & Sons who we know will miss him forever.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Eamon’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 27th May at 6.30pm in St’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the church webcam
