Acknowledgement & First Anniversary
On the occasion of the anniversary of his death, Eamonn’s wife Nan, daughter Catherine, sons Richard and John, together with his brothers, sister and the extended family wish to thank all those who supported them over the last year and in Eamonn’s final days. Thank you to all those who sent mass cards, letters, text messages, emails, left messages of condolence on RIP.ie, attended the funeral Mass (outside the church or virtually) and the burial, and for the ongoing support we have received during these difficult times. We would like to thank all the carers and medical staff who helped Eamonn during his final few months. In particular a special word of thanks to Fiona Doogue, Sharon Morgan and all the staff of Beechwood Nursing Home. We would also like to thank all our neighbours in The Elms, especially Carina Lawlor, Mary Tyrrell, Donal and Evelyn Sinott, and Michael and Mary Russell, and Eamonn’s former colleagues from the sugar company especially Tony and Nuala Quinn, Des and the late Clair Carbery, and PL Curran, who rallied around when Eamonn needed some support.Special thanks to Nancy Redmond, the McHugh and Markey families for their continued support and friendship. As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will serve as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
Anniversary Mass
We had hoped to have a memorial mass for Eamonn at this point but it has not happened due to the ongoing public health restrictions. Instead Eamonn’s brother Fr Laurence Collins will celebrate mass at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 13th in St Dominic’s Church, Tallaght which can be viewed online at
https://www.churchservices.tv/stdominicstallaght.
As a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and father-in-law,
Eamonn remains forever in our hearts and thoughts.
