Eddie’s wife Ann, son Eamon, daughters Frances, Elizabeth & Sara & all his family wish to express their most sincere thanks for the kindness & support shown to them throughout their recent sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, to all those who attended Eddie’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, to those who travelled long distances & to those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Eddie’s life via the parish webcam.
Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, letters or texts, those who phoned, wrote or shared kind condolences & happy memories online. Thanks also to those who donated generously to Wicklow Hospice in Eddie’s memory;
Our most sincere thanks to the Wicklow Hospice Palliative Care team & to the carers from Arklow Homecare who assisted his family in bringing such comfort & dignity to Eddie’s final weeks. Thank you also to the Arklow Primary Healthcare Team, the doctors, nurses & staff of Sheltonville Surgery & Blackrock Clinic & to the kind & helpful staff of Adrian Dunne’s Pharmacy. A special word of thanks to Juvy Tamayo who helped so much in Eddie’s care & who continues to provide Ann with such wonderful care.
Heartfelt thanks to Fr. Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his prayers, guidance & beautiful funeral Mass & to Avril O’Toole & Bridget Kenny for such lovely music.
Thank you to Eddie’s dear friends from Arklow Golf Club for their many tributes & their respectful Guard of Honour & to Arklow Lifeboat services for their kind acknowledgement of Eddie's contribution to the service.
To our extended families, our work colleagues, our neighbours & our friends, & to Eddie’s many relatives from Wexford who turned out in such numbers, your continued support & kindness is much appreciated & will never be forgotten. We would like to extend a special thank you to Billy Howlin & his wife Marie for their incredible kindness & support throughout this saddest of times.
Thanks to Declan Kenny & his staff at Arklow Golf Club for their hospitality, to Jason & Tom for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors, especially Niamh for her compassion, guidance & professionalism at this most difficult time.
