Ned’s wife Mary, daughters Vanessa, Edwina & Susan & all our extended family would like to express our most sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with & supported us through our recent sad loss.

To all of you who would have loved to come visit, to pay your respects & say your goodbyes, we are most grateful for the understanding & consideration you have shown us as we manoeuvre through our grief in these unprecedented times.

To all who joined in the funeral service via the live stream & for the many ways that you have expressed your condolences & support, be it via RIP.ie, social media, phone calls & texts, handwritten cards & floral tributes, we are forever grateful.

To our wonderful neighbours & friends in Fernhill who turned out to give Ned such a wonderful send-off, words cannot express how touched we were by your gesture or how proud Ned would have been. Your friendship & continued support will never be forgotten. 

Warmest thanks to Dr.’s Nick Buggle, Siobhan McCabe & all their team at Sheltonville Surgery & to the wonderful nurses & staff of Saint Vincent's Hospital for their great care throughout Ned’s illness. We would like to express special thanks to Doctor Paul Doyle for showing compassion, understanding and offering encouragement. We thank you for going above and beyond for our family.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr. David Brough for his beautiful graveside prayers.

Thanks also to Bill & Joe for tending to the grave & to John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors for their kind & professional service. Although an incredibly heartbreaking day, with their help and support we made it a very proud day.
