BUSHELL (nee KELLY), EILEEN
DIED JUNE 4TH 2025.
Our dad John and we, Patrick, Martin, Mary & Ellen would like to thank everyone who sympathised with us on the recent passing of our dear mother Eileen. We would like to acknowledge and thank all who cared for Mom in her home, most notably our sister Ellen and her family, also Peggy, Breda, Marie, Mary, Noreen, Pauline and Fiona, all whose tender care made it possible for her to remain at home for so many years. Thanks to the medical staff of University College Hospital Galway in the last few months and more recently thank you to the staff of St Francis Nursing Home, Kilkerrin where our mom was well cared for and passed peacefully.
We are grateful to Fr Fearghal who gave mam her final blessing. Thank you to everyone who travelled to be with us, sent mass cards, emailed, phoned and sent messages of condolence. Thank you to Fr Anthaiah Pudota & Fr Paddy Mooney who called regularly to mom and who delivered her funeral mass with such kindness. Thanks to the children and parents of Ardeevin School for the gaurd of honor. Thank you to the altar servers and all those who assisted with symbols, prayers, offertory, eulogy, reflection, carrying her remains and anyone who helped in any way preparing the mass booklet, & providing flowers, all making her final mass so special. Thank you to musician and singers, Anne, Roisin, PJ and the Glenamaddy Choir for the touching music. Thank you to Divillys for the use of their funeral home, and to the Oakland Hotel for the lovely food provided after mom’s interment.
Sincere Thanks goes to undertakers Pat and Caroline Coneran whose wonderful assistance, advice, attention to detail and care taken of our mom in her final moments will be forever remembered. We really appreciate your willingness to have our wishes carried out in such a professional, caring and dignified manner.
A special mention to the wonderful neighbours in Woodfield whose huge support to our family has been so comforting. Their presence each day with guards of honour, on mom’s arrival and departure will be a cherished memory with tables of flowers and lit candles. Special thanks to the family friends, who brought gifts and especially Peggy, Deidre, Karen & Laura who tirelessly helped with food and refreshments over the three days. We are forever grateful to our friends who prepared her final resting place, Tommy, John, Padraig, Aiden, and Noel. As it is difficult to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will serve a token of our deep appreciation and gratitude. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Eileens Months Memory Mass will be celebrated in St Patricks Church, Glenamaddy, Co Galway on Sunday July 6th at 10,30am.
