Acknowledgement & First Anniversary (21st April 2024)

In loving memory of our mum and mum-in-law, Eileen McCarthy on her first anniversary, Sheila & Brian would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our very sad loss.

Thank you to those who attended the funeral and cremation services in the UK and who travelled to attend and also to those who attended the memorial mass and interment of ashes in Cork.  To those who sent cards, flowers, gifts, donations to the Donkey Sanctuary, offered condolences and phoned, your support and messages of sympathy gave us great comfort.

We extend our appreciation to the management & staff of Dukeminster Court for their kindness, care and support.

We also like to express our thanks to White Dove Funeral Home, Dunstable, for their professionalism, kindness, support and reassurance they showed to Eileen and us throughout the arrangements.

Also sincere thanks to Fr. Liam Castle of St. Martin De Porres Church for his support and the beautiful funeral and cremation ceremonies.

We would like to thank the team at Jerh O’Connor’s Funeral Home who ensured Eileen a peaceful interment at Dun Bolg, Cork.

Also a thank you to Fr. Pat Fogarty of St. Joseph's Church, Glanmire, for his support and the beautiful memorial service and to Margaret Tobin for her fabulous singing.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

A mass will be held for Eileen on Sunday, 21st April 2024 at St. Joseph's Church, Glanmire 12 noon.

We think of things you used to say, and all that you would do.
At some point, every single day, our thoughts will turn to you.
No matter how life changes, no matter what we do,
A special place within our hearts is always kept for you.
