 Elizabeth (Betty) Fortune
(née Cutland)

Arklow, Wicklow

Betty’s daughter Kim, son Danny, sister Rhoda & their families would like to extend their most sincere thanks for the love & support shown to them throughout Betty’s funeral & during the weeks since.

Thank you to all those who visited the funeral home, those who attended Betty’s removal, funeral Mass & cremation service both on person or via livestream & to those who travelled long distances to support us through this difficult time. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, texts & those who shared heartfelt messages & happy memories online. Thank you also to those who donated generously to The Arklow Cancer Support Group in honour of Betty’s memory: www.arklowcancersupport.ie

Our most sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses & caring staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital & to the wonderful team at Blackrock Hospice for the comfort & dignity they brought to Betty’s final days. Also thanks to Sheltonville Surgery and Adrian Dunne Pharmacy.

Very special thanks to Fr. Martin Jose for his prayers, comforting words & lovely funeral Mass, to Fr. Eugene McCarthy for celebrating Betty’s Cremation Service & to Michael Flood & Patricia Kavanagh for such beautiful music.

To our own extended families, our wonderful cousins, nieces & nephews, our colleagues & friends, we thank you for your continued support. A very special thank you to Betty’s neighbours, most especially Maurice & Alison for the incredible kindness & devotion you showed throughout Betty’s final years.

Thank you to the management and staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, Alan Massey & his team at Mount Jerome Crematorium & to Niamh & all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
