Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
As we remember our beautiful mother Elizabeth (Betty) on her first anniversary (26/05/2023), we her children, Dan, Paul, Mary, Pat, Elaine, Michael and Vincent wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us, sent Mass cards, floral tributes, letters of condolence and contacted us on the passing of our kind, caring mother and grandmother.
A sincere and heartfelt thank you to our extended family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, to those who attended her removal and funeral Mass, especially those who travelled overseas and long distances to be with us. You’re support and generosity was very much appreciated over the past challenging year.
A huge and sincere word of thanks to the following: Mam’s friend and carer Breda Bagattin, the kindness and care shown by you to Mam will never be forgotten, to the ladies of the Home Help service Mary, Andrea and Mary who visited and cared for Mam in her final months, the Daffodil night nurse service who’s excellent care of Mam in her final days was greatly appreciated, Mam’s G.P. Dr Daniel Hinds, Mr Pat Barry and the doctors and nurses of the CUH. Bishop John Buckley, our cousin Fr. Pat McCarthy who celebrated her funeral mass and Fr. Michael Curran MSC. who travelled from West Cork to assist at the mass.
A special remembrance to Canon Michael Murphy (recently deceased) who called to Mam on a regular basis. Donal Forde and the staff of Sullivan's Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
We would also like to remember our beloved Dad Paddy, who’s 17th anniversary occurred on March 13th, it gives us great comfort knowing that he is now reunited with his greatest love our cherished mother Betty.
We also want to remember two very special people, our beloved sister Liz who passed away on 22/09/2022 and Dan’s wife, our sister in law Mary who passed away on 25/09/2022.
Will those who think of them today, a little prayer to Jesus say.
