The family of the late Elizabeth (Liz) Dalton (née Foley), Ballynoneen, Asdee, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 11th of June 2024, would like to express our thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our great loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. We are deeply grateful to those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, Mass cards, letters, messages and left online condolences on RIP.ie and Radio Kerry, as well as those who made charitable donations. Your kind words and support have been a great comfort to us.
We would like to thank Mom's carers for their dedication, compassion and support, especially Breda, Claire, Kathleen, Rebecca and Margaret. We also deeply appreciate the care and support of the palliative care, public health and community nurses who cared for Mom, especially Alice Moore, Evelyn Sweeney and Aisling Kelly. Thanks to Dr Rosalie Ashley and Dr Paddy O' Donoghue, Dr John Buckley and the staff at Ivy Clinic, Listowel for taking care of our mother's medical needs during her illness. We would especially like to thank Dr Patricia Sheahan and her team in the Palliative Care Unit in University Hospital Kerry for the compassionate care and exceptional kindness shown to Mom and also to us as a family during our mother's final days and passing.
A special word of thanks to Fr Hussey for celebrating Mom's Requiem mass, to Fr Tom Crawford for saying the Rosary and prayers at the funeral home and to Fr Jim Sheehy for all the masses and prayers he offered during Mom's illness and passing. We would also like thank Noma O Connor, the Sacristan for her help in preparing the prayers and readings for the mass. We wish to thank Martina Mc Auliffe, whose beautiful singing added so much to the Mass. We wish to extend our sincere thanks to Lynch's Funeral Directors, Ballylongford, we would especially like to thank Sandra and Mossie for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements. We would like to thank O'Gorman's Memorial Video Services for livestreaming the Requiem Mass so that our relatives and friends from abroad could join us.; Thanks to Asdee Community Development who helped manage the traffic during the funeral.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
The First Anniversary Mass for Elizabeth (Liz) Dalton (née Foley) will be held on Sunday, 15th of June at 9.30 am in St Mary's Church, Asdee. All welcome.
