 Elizabeth Deegan
(née Hobbs)

Arklow, Wicklow / Wexford

Elizabeth’s husband Mick, her daughters Priscilla, Grace and Mariel, her brothers, sisters and all her family wish to extend our warmest thanks for the support and kindness shown to us throughout Elizabeth’s illness, at the time of her passing and during the weeks since.

Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, attended Elizabeth’s funeral Mass and burial, to the many people who travelled long distances to be with us and pay their final respects, as well as those who joined us on webcam, to all those who sent Mass cards and letters, those who phoned, wrote or shared warm wishes online, and to those who donated generously to Wicklow Hospice in Elizabeth’s memory;

Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital for the comfort and care they brought to Elizabeth’s final weeks, and to the wonderful team at Wicklow Hospice. Thank you also to Dr Nick Buggle and his colleagues at Sheltonville Surgery, and to the kind and helpful staff of Adrian Dunne Pharmacy.

Thank you to Fr Richard Lawless and Fr Jim Butler for celebrating Elizabeth’s funeral Mass, to Karla Tracey and Bridget Kenny for such lovely music and to Justin for his musical tribute to a much-loved mother-in-law – she would have been so proud.

Finally, thank you to Martin Dempsey for tending to the grave, the management and staff of the Ashdown Park for their hospitality and all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

Trusting that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation.
