The family of the late Ellen (Nelly) Dunphy, Lismore Park, Waterford City (Formerly Gortaclode, Kilmeaden) who passed away peacefully on 14th August 2024 would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss.

Our sincere thanks to Dr Paul Campbell and the staff at Johns Hill Medical Practice for their care and attention throughout Nelly’s illness. To Dr John Maher, and the Palliative Care Team, for their kindness and compassion in Nelly’s final days.

We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, Mass Cards, letters, flowers, and condolences on rip.ie. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those of you that came to Nelly’s home and to the funeral mass. A special thank you to those who travelled from afar to show their support. We were overwhelmed by the support shown by all.

Thank you to Fr Pat Fitzgerald for such a lovely mass, and Cathy Forristal & Paul Grant for the beautiful music. Thank you to O’Donnacha’s, Kilmeaden for the excellent meal and friendly service. Thank you to Thompsons Funeral Directors who took care of everything from the moment of our first contact with them. They made a special effort to give Nelly the best send-off she deserved – it’s greatly appreciated.

Nelly will be deeply and sadly missed, and will always be remembered. As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation. The holy sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Nelly’s Months Mind Mass will be held on 14th September at 6pm, in St Paul's Church, Lisduggan.
