The Family of the late Emma Mackarel, nee McClean, Latgallan, Clones, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent bereavement. Emma was the devoted wife of Andrew and loving mother of Eva and Alec; cherished daughter of John and Linda, granddaughter of Thomas and sister of David and Donna (Hicks).

We would like to thank everyone who sent sympathy cards and messages, attended the funeral service and those who made charitable donations to the Jack & Jill Foundation and the Lauralynn Children's Hospice, in lieu of flowers. The total amount was in excess of 4,500 euros.

We are blessed to have the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues throughout this difficult time, your support has helped us in so many ways, to find strength and grieve together as a family.

A special word of thanks to Rev. David Hagan, who conducted the service and organist Manuel Mackarel, also to Mark who looked after the farm before and after the funeral.

Thank you to George Hall Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and the many neighbours and friends for their help in preparation for and during the funeral. 

Thanks also to Mrs. Caroline Niblock for catering for such a large turnout of mourners and to the staff and parents of Scoil Mhuire, Gransha for their support.

We wish to express our gratitude to the Gardai and other emergency services who attended the scene of the accident and to the Garda family liaison officer.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family's deepest gratitude.
