Emmett’s Daddy, Mammy & brother, Patrick wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised & supported us on our recent heart-breaking loss of Emmett and in the weeks since. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us with messages, calls & prayers during this very difficult time, to everyone who visited our home, sent Mass Cards, travelled distances to be with us, attended the funeral Mass, cremation service & those who could not join us in person but joined us virtually by webcam, thank you, we are humbled by the outpouring of support, generosity and love shown to us at this difficult time. A sincere thanks to Garda Gerry Donovan for the Garda Escort to & from the Church, also the School & local businesses for their mark of respect on the day. Sincere Thanks to Emmett’s cousin Fr Jimmy Clarke for his beautiful funeral Mass & prayers at Mount Jerome, to Fr Michael Murphy PP of Avoca for his guidance, support & prayers in the weeks Emmett was ill & at the time of the funeral. Our sincere thanks to the sacristy team, soloist Liam Kinsella & organist Bridget for the beautiful music & songs.
We especially thank the Avoca Community Responders & the NAS, your care & kindness to Emmett on the night he fell ill will never be forgotten. To Dr Siobhan McCabe & Dr Nick Buggle & their team of Sheltonville Surgery who cared for Emmett throughout the years, your care of & support to Emmett over the years is deeply appreciated. Thanks also to John & his team in Avoca Pharmacy for the wonderful service provided at all times. We are immensely grateful for the excellent care provided to Emmett in the ICU of SVUH by the consultants, doctors & nurses, particular thanks to Nurse Manager Vivienne Connell whose kindness knows no bounds, the kindness and compassion shown to Emmett and to us as a family during this most difficult time was outstanding, we will be forever grateful, also to Nurses Aine & Ava along with Fr Liam, Chaplain of SVUH for their compassion, kindness and support, we will forever treasure our knitted hearts.
Sincere thanks to our wonderful family, great friends, neighbours & the community who visited our home, brought food, refreshments and assisted with the catering over the week end, on the day of the funeral and in the weeks since, we are humbled by the support we have received and continue to receive, this support has helped us so much during this very difficult time. Your presence & support has been immense; we truly appreciate it all.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Helena & all at Hudson’s Funeral Directors, Arklow for their kindness, sensitivity & professionalism in bringing Emmett home & arranging his funeral, the support & advice helped us so much in those most difficult days, also the team at Mount Jerome.
Finally, to Emmett’s uncle Brian Lott for his wonderful tribute to Emmett at his funeral Mass, it was exactly how we all knew & loved Emmett and how he did it “my way”.
Whilst it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Emmett’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick & Mary’s Church, Avoca on Sunday the 19th November at 11.30am.
