Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

Today as we remember our beautiful Eric, we his family wish to sincerely thank all those who supported us in our time of greatest need.

Firstly, to our wonderful family, friends and neighbours for all their love and support. To Eric's amazing friends who showed him so much kindness and love throughout his sickness, a special mention to Laura Spence, Michael O'Connell, Michael Blake, Kevin O'Sullivan, Jason Rea, Stephen Lynch and Donal Hedgerington. To our brother in law Billy and neighbour Paul for all they did on that morning.

Thanks to Father Marius for the beautiful, heartfelt Mass. To the Choristers for the wonderful singing. To our daughter in law Vicky who arranged everything so beautifully and to Eric's cousins Darren and Alan, thank you for your work on the lovely Mass booklet.

We thank all who attended the Mass and services, especially those who travelled long distances. To all who sent Mass cards and messages of support. To Joe Coughlan and staff for arranging the services with dignity, care and compassion.

We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.

Finally, to our darling Eric,

We say an enormous thank you for being our loving, beautiful, funny and kind, son, Daddy, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.

Time does not heal the pain, it makes us yearn for you even more. 

You graced us every day with your beaming smile and your hearty laugh. You touched the lives of everyone you met. You were and always will be our world. Until we hold you once again in our arms our beautiful Eric, we love you always and forever.
