We, the family of the late Ernie Walsh would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown to us following our recent sad bereavement.
We wish to sincerely thank our extended family, great friends and neighbours who have continued to offer exceptional support. Thank you to all who contacted us with Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolences in person and online.
To all the wonderful Grange Heights neighbours who stood by the entrance of the Estate to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passed by. Those who joined us in person, those who stood outside the church, your presence was greatly appreciated.
We sincerely thank Fr. Liam Power for celebrating Ernie’s Mass so meaningfully and Fr. R. Liddane for his attendance. A big Thank you to Dominic for the beautiful singing and in particular for his rendition of Gounod Ave Maria during the mass and thanks to Declan the organist.
We offer heartfelt thanks to Prof. Riona Mulcahy and the medical team of University Hospital Waterford. To the HSE Care Team especially Susan Burke. To Home Instead Care Team and Ernie’s private nurses who cared kindly and compassionately for Ernie.
To Frs. John and Bobby Chaplains of University Hospital Waterford for your prayerful dedication to Ernie thank you.
To Anne Hennessy Moore and Team for your professional guidance. Thank You.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
