Ethna Kieran

 Ethna Kieran
(née McCourt)

Sliabh Breagh, Ardee, Louth

Ethna's husband Jimmy, her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sisters, and extended family wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

We would like to thank all those who sent Mass cards, letters and cards of condolences, made telephone calls and wrote messages of sympathy on RIP.ie and for all the food and beautiful flowers we received. We would like to thank all our friends and neighbours for their gifts and support during our difficult time. A special thanks to Bernadette Grey and Mary Reilly for their continued visits over the years and to Paula Levins and Theresa McGorrian for their practical support during Ethna's wake. We were blown away by everyone's kindness.

A special thanks to Dr Eleanor Ward and her staff in John Street Sugery Ardee and Dr David O'Neill. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, carers and all the staff on Boyne Ground Floor East for their care and attention to Ethna. Thank you to the Chaplains and Sister Ursula who comforted Ethna in her final weeks. We would like to include the heart failure clinic and all the departments that cared for Ethna in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the diabetic clinic in Louth County Hospital.

Thank you to O'Flynns AllCare Pharmacy Ardee and all the carers who looked after Ethna at home with whom she enjoyed a laugh and a joke. They had great respect and admiration for each other.

We wish to express our sincere appreciation to all who attended Ethna's removal, lined the streets, attended the church grounds for the funeral at The Church of the Nativity of Our Lady Ardee and the burial in Louth cemetery. A very special thanks to Fr Sean McCartan for his beautiful Mass and burial service and thank you to Canon Peter Murphy for his attendance.

We would like to acknowledge the professionalism and dignified manner Jim Tenanty and staff carried out the funeral arrangements, removal and burial, it was very much appreciated.

As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sign of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Ethna's Month's Mind Mass will be offered on Sunday 18th April at 12 noon in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady Ardee. Mass can be viewed by clicking the link below:
