We, Gene’s brothers and sisters, Denis, William, Mary, Bernie, Michael, Noel, Brian, Margaret and Gillian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and extended family wish to extend our sincere thanks to all who supported us on our very sad loss. To all who attended the funeral service and burial, to all who sent mass cards and condolences and to those who travelled long distances to be with us in our time of grief.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Professor John Sheehan, doctors, nurses and staff at the ENT, South Infirmary, for their care and compassion shown to Gene over the last seven years. To all at the Mercy Hospital who also cared for Gene especially in his final hours. Thank you to Dr. Barry and staff at Shandon Street Medical Centre, Irwins Pharmacy, Shandon St., HSE Stores, Model Farm Rd., for their kindness and care. A sincere thanks to O’Connors Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge for their professionalism and compassion. Thanks to Fr. Sean Crowley and the choir for the beautiful funeral mass. A sincere “thank you” to all who cared for Gene during his illness, we are eternally grateful. As a token of our appreciation the Holy Sacrifice of the mass has been offered for all your intentions. First Anniversary Mass Sunday 13th April at 11.30am in the North Cathedral.
