Who passed away on 16th April 2023
Eva’s Son Darragh, Parents Seamus and Kathleen, Brother Alan, Sister in Law Kate, Nephew Henry, Niece Lorna, Aunts, Uncles, and the extended Kelly and Walsh Families along with Cherished Neighbours and Eva’s many friends, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support and comfort received during and since Eva’s sad passing.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many people who visited the funeral home reposing, attended Eva’s removal, funeral mass and burial of ashes. To those who sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy, text messages, online condolences, made phone calls; we are truly grateful. Thank you to everyone who called to our house offering words of sympathy and comfort. To our wonderful Family Neighbours and Friends - To those who generously brought food and other essentials to our house. We thank especially Relatives and Friends who travelled long distances to be with us at this difficult time for your kindness and support.
A special word of thanks to our local Priests, Fr. Martin Tobin, Fr. Peter Muldowney and Fr. Liam Barron for celebrating Eva’s funeral Mass and for their kind words and support. Thanks to neighbours, Kathleen Walsh, Collette Wall, Damien O’Sullivan and the organist for their beautiful singing and music during Eva’s Mass.
We would like to acknowledge the exceptional medical care Eva received during her illness. To Dr. John Enright GP, Nurse Maria and colleagues in Mullinavat GP Practice for their outstanding care shown to Eva during her illness. Thanks for the exceptional Dedication and Kindness of Dr. Paula Calvert and her WUH Oncology Team based at UHW and Whitfield Clinic. Thanks also to Michelle and her Radiotherapy Team at UPMC Whitfield Clinic.
Our Sincere thanks to Carina and her Pallative Care Team Colleagues for your visits and timely advice during Evas Illness. Our thanks also to WUH Physio Conor for your kindness, patience and support to Eva and to The Community Care Team for your help and support. Our thanks also to Mooncoin and Piltown District Nurses for you care, support and advice.
Sincere Thanks to Cork Univ. Hospital Surgeon, Dr. Wail Mohammed along with his Surgical and Neuro Ward Recovery Teams for your kind and wonderful care to Eva during her time in CUH and to Kilmacow native Collette for your visits, kindness, and invaluable support.
To the Doctors, Nurses and Caring staff of the WUH Guiney Ward and The Oak Ward/Pallative Care for the comfort, compassion and dignity they brought to Eva’s final days, and for the Kindness to us - Eva’s family - Sincere Thanks.
We are especially grateful to our thoughtful near neighbours, The Power Family along with Anita and Janet whose unwavering huge support has been a source of great comfort to Eva’s during her long and difficult journey.
We would like to acknowledge the support of Eva’s former Work Colleagues in Aut Even Hospital, Whitfield Clinic and Mooncoin Residential Care Home over her years working as a Health Care Assistant. Thanks to those who could not be present (including our extended Australian Family and Friends) but joined us in the celebration of Eva’s Funeral Mass via webcam. Thank you everyone for your kind and very generous funeral donations shared equally between two Charities, - CUH Cancer Research (Thanks Collette), and Waterford Palliative Care/Hospice in Eva’s memory are greatly appreciated.
Our Thanks - To Rory and the Kilmacow GAA Club Committee and Members, and local Neighbours for your support and guard of honour for Eva on her final journey from Chapelgate to Kilmacow Church. Thanks to o Kilmacow Community Hall, Kathleen Kennedy and her wonderful team of volunteers for their kindness and exceptional catering which numerous locals and visitors to Kilmacow greatly complimented upon.
We would especially like to thank Donnacha Doyle and Sons - Funeral Director for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements, To Aoife and staff in The Kilmacow Parish Office for thoughtful and compassionate care shown to us at this difficult time.
