The family of the late Evelyn Martin of Carrick Bar, Donegal PO, Co. Donegal, who passed away peacefully on the 19th December, 2022, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbours who visited our home, attended the wake, funeral service and who provided great support for us at this difficult time. To those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, we are truly grateful.

We especially thank Evelyn’s carers Violet Mahon, Margaret Boyle, Karen McGrory and Karen McGee, to Frances McGloin, Public Health Nurse and Liam Patten, Palliative Care Nurse who supported Evelyn through her illness. Special thanks to Teresa Rogers for all her help and support. Sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Millrow Family Practice and to Conor Keown and all at Eske pharmacy. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Oncology Department at Sligo University Hospital for their care, kindness and respect always shown. 

A special thanks to Fr Adrian Gavigan, Jude Boyle, Sacristan and the servers for the funeral Mass. Thank you to Brian O’Sullivan for the beautiful music at the funeral Mass. Thank you to Martin Gallagher, Funeral Director, for the dignified and caring way he undertook his duties as undertaker. Many thanks to The Rambling House for the wonderful food provided. 

To all those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice will be offered for your intentions.

Evelyn’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held at St. Brigid's Church, Ballintra, on Saturday, 11th February, at 6:30pm.
