Fergal’s wife Mary and children Anna, Daniel and Emer, together with their extended families wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.

Our sincere thanks to our friends, neighbours and work colleagues for their kindness, help and support. Thank you to all who attended Fergal’s reposing, funeral Mass and burial service.

Many thanks to all who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and messages of condolence by phone and online.

A special word of thanks to Dr Margaret Connolly GP, Dr Tom McEnery Respiratory Consultant, Dr Lore Komanyane Medical Oncologist and Clinical Nurse Specialists Olivia Grady and Mary O’Brien in Sligo University Hospital.  Dr John Gaffney Radiation Oncologist and his team in Galway University Hospital, all the staff in Oncology Day Services, the Oncology Ward and the A&E Department in Sligo University Hospital, Ambulance Emergency Services, Rachel in Community Intervention Team, Sligo Grammar School, Community Pallative Care Team and the staff of North West Hospice for the wonderful care and support provided to Fergal and to us as a family.

A sincere thank you to Canon Tom Hever for celebrating a beautifully fitting funeral Mass and Fr. John Carroll for concelebrating, To all who participated in the symbols of Fergals’ life procession, readings, prayers of the faithful and offertory and to Anna Gillen, Mary Kate Nolan, Sinead Conway and Kieran Quinn for their beautiful music and song. Our thanks to Seán, Susan, Brendan and Francis at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Services, Cartron Cross, Sligo for their professional services and personal attention to the funeral arrangements. Thank you to the gravediggers for preparing Fergal’s final resting place so beautifully.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude. Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Fergal’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in Saint Colmcille’s Church, Rathcormac, Sligo on Saturday the 28th of March at 7pm.
