As we lovingly remember Fintan, we — Majella, Órla, Cormac, and Conor, together with his siblings Miriam, Frank, and Micheál, and the extended family — wish to express our deepest gratitude for the many expressions of sympathy and support shown to us during our recent bereavement.

 

We are truly thankful to all who visited our home, attended the funeral mass and burial, and especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you also to those who sent floral tributes, mass cards, letters, and messages, shared cherished memories and kind words online, or joined us in spirit via the webcam.

 

Our sincere thanks to the dedicated and compassionate staff of the ICU at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and the Chaplaincy Team. Your care, comfort, and respect brought great dignity to Fintan’s final days, and for that we are forever grateful.

 

We extend special thanks to Fr. Jordan for celebrating the funeral Mass, to Derbhla Joann  and Patrick Martin  for the beautiful music and singing, to Derbhla also for preparing the booklets, and to the sacristan Thomas Byrne for his assistance.

 

A heartfelt thank you to Inniskeen Grattan’s GAA Club and St. Oliver Plunkett’s N.S., Loughmourne for the moving guard of honour.

 

To our kind neighbours, the staff of the Patrician High School, our colleagues and friends — your continued support and generosity have meant so much to us.

 

We are also deeply appreciative of Mícheál, Enda, and Colm of Magee’s Funeral Directors for their professional and sensitive guidance, as well as Peter McCaughey and David Maxwell. Our thanks also go to those who prepared Fintan’s final resting place.

We are grateful to those who brought food to the house, to Conlon’s Catering for the lovely refreshments, and to Gerry and his team for the use of the Community Centre.
