We, the family of the late Dr. Fiona Maloney, wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has sympathised and supported us during this difficult and sad time, including all of Fiona’s work colleagues far and wide, our extended family, friends, and neighbours.
We would like to thank and acknowledge the wonderful doctors and nurses in Cavan General Hospital for the impeccable care provided to Fiona, and the kindness and support shown towards us, in particular Dr William Courtney and Ann Marie Duffy.
A special thank you to Cuan Cancer Support Centre for the invaluable services provided to Fiona throughout her journey, and their support to us as we navigate life without Fiona.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Declan Finnegan and Bernard McPhillips of Lakeland Funeral Home for their professionalism, incredible attention to detail and sincere compassion shown to us during this difficult time.
A sincere thanks to Fr Kevin Fay, Fr. Padraig McKenna and Fiona’s uncle Fr. Emmet Carolan for the beautiful funeral ceremony, which was celebrated on February 10th in St Brigid’s Church, Killygarry. Additionally, a special thanks to Pat Tierney, Martina and Eamon for the wonderful music and singing during the ceremony.
We also wish to extend our deepest gratitude to An Tánaiste Simon Harris for taking the time to attend Fiona’s removal and to the Tánaiste’s aide de camp who represented Minister Harris at the funeral.
