The family of the late Florence (Florrie) Cribbon of St. Annes Tce Athlone, who died 18th June 2025, would like to thank all those who sympathised, sent flowers, mass cards or messages of condolence to the family on the passing of our wonderful Mother and Grandmother.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends and kind neighbours who attended the funeral and provided support to the family at this difficult time, please know that your thoughts, kind words, prayers and actions were truly appreciated.

A special word of thanks to the caring staff of Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe, and to Declan Mc Garry and all the staff at Oakwood Nursing home, Roscommon.  Thanks also to Dr. Michael Brody and the team at Monksland Medical Centre, Athlone who cared for Florrie for many years in Athlone. Such care and support warrant special recognition.

Thank you to Fr. John Deignan, P.P. St. Peter’s and Paul’s parish, for performing a beautiful requiem mass, to Mc Neill’s Funeral directors, for such professional management of the funeral arrangements and to PJ Stacey and the choir for the church music, with a note of additional recognition for the Rush family members of the Choir who were lifetime neighbours and friends to Florrie.  Thank you so much.

This acknowledgement would not be complete without warranted recognition and gratitude to the many friends and neighbours Mam had in St. Anne’s Tce, Athlone.  The families there were an extension to Mam’s own family, and will always hold a special place in our hearts.  Thank you to all for your support, friendship and kindness to both Mam and Dad, especially in their later years.  Your kind-heartedness and consideration for others, is a symbol of what community means, and the people of St. Anne’s Tce., are inspirational of such community spirit.

To those who supported in any way, your contribution was very much appreciated.  As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.  Thank you.
