On behalf of the Sweeney & Brennan families, words cannot express how grateful we are for the overwhelming support, kindness & compassion shown throughout our beloved Frances’ illness, at the time of her sad passing & during the weeks since.

Thank you to those who visited the funeral home, attended Frances’ funeral Mass & cremation service, those who sent Mass & sympathy cards, wrote beautiful letters & shared wonderful online messages & memories, those who could not be present but joined us via livestream & those who donated generously to www.arklowcancersupport.ie in her memory.

We would like to extend special thanks to Mary Griegan & the Wicklow Palliative Care team, to Dr. Eoin Tiernan, Paul & Linda from the Palliative Care Team at the Beacon Hospital & to the wonderful & helpful staff of Armstrong Life Pharmacy.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Padraig Ó’Cochláin & Fr David Brough for their continued kindness & support, to Fr Martin Cosgrove, Fr Paul Hampson, Fr. Jim O’Connell & Fr. Anthony O’Connell for celebrating such a beautiful Mass, to Rev. Nigel Sherwood & David & Isobel Moynan for their prayers, comforting guidance & friendship & to Fr. Michael Murtagh for joining us at the crematorium. Thanks also to Michael Flood, Patricia Kavanagh & our dear friend Geraldine Delaney for their fabulous music.

To neighbours, friends & colleagues, old & new, we thank you for the many ways you continue to show your love, respect & support.

To Mary O’Brien & all the members of Arklow Cancer Support Group, we thank you for your heartfelt tribute & for your Guard of Honour both to & from the Church, we thank our colleagues from the funeral services who lined the route of Frances’ final journey & to the dignified & expert staff of Mount Jerome Crematorium.

A final & huge thank you to John & Betty Kenny of The Wicklow Heather for their generous hospitality after the funeral.

While we could never thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small token of our heartfelt gratitude.

Frances’ Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 7th May at 6.30pm in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;
