Sandra and the girls, Tanya, Keira, Lisa and Donna would like to express our deep gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on the sad loss of our dear Husband/Dad, the late Francis Dominic Baynes, who died on 3rd March, 2021.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes, texts, online messages and to those who called and made donations to St. James's Hospital. All these expressions of sympathy and condolence have been an enormous support to us all and are treasured beyond words. Thank you to those who attended the Funeral Home and who lined the car park and streets outside the church.
A special word of thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Intensive Care Unit in St. James's Hospital, who looked after Francis so well and who dealt with us, as a family, in such a caring manner too.
A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Martin for his prayers and support and for celebrating such a moving funeral Mass, and to Ruth Cahill for the beautiful music. Thank You also to Fanagans Funeral Home for their very sensitive and professional handling of the funeral arrangements and to the gravediggers at Mount Venus cemetery for preparing Francis’ place of rest so beautifully.
To all the members of the St. Vincent de Paul, please accept our thanks for all your support and care during this time. Hearing about how Francis participated in the organisation and how members thought so fondly of him, really gives us comfort. Also to the Allianz Retired Association, thank you for the kindness you have shown us over the last few months.
The outpouring of love and respect for Francis in the many messages of condolence (particularly on this website) are testament to the great man he was and we will keep those kind words in our hearts forever. To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Rest in Peace - Francis, FDB, Dad, Dom
No matter how life changes,
No matter what we do,
A Special Place within our Hearts,
Is always kept for you.
