On the First Anniversary of our mother’s untimely passing we, her children Aoife, Niamh, KillianMacDaragh and  Erin, her sister Marie, brother-in-law Donie Twomey, sons-in-law Chris Leahy, Steve Leahy and Ivan Cronin, Wendy & grandchildren Kate, Kyran, Kia and Abigail, nieces & nephews, would like to sincerely thank everyone who sympathised with us, came to the funeral services, phoned, sent cards, letters, messages and called to our homes after the tragic loss of our mother and have continued to help us throughout this difficult year.

We would firstly like to thank the Garda Síochána in Midleton, especially Eoghan, Sean, Anna & Shane. The Irish Coast Guard units of Rescue 117,  Ballycotton, Guileen and Youghal. Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery, Search And Rescue Dogs Association (SARDA), Tipperary Search and Rescue Group and Nenagh Ormond Search Unit who all helped bring our mother home to us. The good people of her home village of Ballinacurra and surrounding areas, who came down and helped us with the search. We thank you all for the great show of support and kindness to our mother, to us individually and as a family.

To Garryvoe Hotel for providing a room and refreshments for us, Garryvoe Stores, the businesses in Midleton that provided the food and beverages that kept us going and kept our spirits up. To our great friends for the food deliveries to our homes, we thank all you so much.

To our workplaces that were so understanding and our work colleagues at Stryker Tullagreen, Merck Millipore, Pepsi Little Island, Iarnrod Eireann, Integral and also The Garryvoe Hotel, St.Mary’s High School and Coláiste Muire, for the empathy and kindness shown to Kia and Abigail.

To Jerry and his team at Wallis Funeral home Midleton for all their help, Seamus and his excellent  staff at Wallis Bar, Fr. Killeen for the lovely prayers at both the service and the laying of the ashes, Rocky Island  Crematorium, Dots & Roger for playing the wonderful songs which our mother loved.

To the other ladies that attended the St. Mary’s High School reunion that evening, we thank you all for the lovely night our mother had. To the running community for the guard of honour, the beautiful tributes on local papers and the photos that were shared, we were very touched by your kind words.

The arrival of Sadhbh Holly Cronin born in January 2020 has made the last few months a little easier, given us a new focus and has been a little ray of sunshine for us all.

To mother’s cousins, her friends, our extended families, our friends and our own communities, that have stood with us, we appreciate everything that has been done for us. We thank each and every one of you and will never forget your kindness.
