 George Murphy

Fernhill, Arklow, Wicklow

George’s wife Mary, children David, Angela & Bridgette, his brothers & sisters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren & extended family would like to express their most sincere thanks for all the comfort, support & kindness they received at the time of George’s sad passing & throughout the weeks since.

Thanks to all those who visited the funeral home, attended George’s removal & funeral Mass, to those who accompanied him on his final journey, sent cards, letters & kind messages of condolence online & those who donated generously to the Arklow R.N.L.I. in his memory. Equal thanks also to those who were not in a position to attend but joined in George’s funeral Mass & cremation service via webcam & those who continue to keep George & all of us in their thoughts & prayers.

Very special thanks to Dr June Coates & all the team at Arklow Medical Practice & to the doctors, nurses & staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, all of whom took such great care of George throughout his illness. Thanks also to the wonderful staff of Grant’s Pharmacy for all their assistance.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his words of comfort & lovely funeral Mass, to Fr Michael Murtagh for celebrating George’s committal service, to Stephen Walker & Rosarie Kinsella for such beautiful music & to Tommy Breen for his musical tribute.

Thanks also to the management & staff of Mount Jerome Crematorium & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

George’s Month’s Mind Mass together with the second anniversary Mass of his beloved son Danny will be celebrated on Saturday 18th September at 6.30pm in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the parish webcam
