George’s wife Carmel, sons David, Raymond & Ciarán & all his family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude for the many expressions of condolence they received at the time of George’s sad passing & throughout the weeks since.
Thanks to those who visited the funeral home, attended George’s funeral Mass & burial, sent cards, texts & messages of sympathy & support & all those who donated generously to the Irish Heart Foundation or to Sharpeshill (Wicklow S.P.A.) in George’s memory.
To colleagues, neighbours & friends - old & new, we thank you for the many ways you showed your respect for George & support for us all, such kindness will never be forgotten.
Special thanks to Dr. Nicola Cochrane along with the team at The Carrig Clinic & to Iva from Kareplan for their great care throughout George’s final weeks & to the Ambulance Crew & all the doctors, nurses & staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital who assisted George with expert efficiency, kindness & gentle care on the day he passed away.
Heartfelt thanks to Fr. Denis Quinn for his words of comfort & beautiful funeral Mass, to Roisin in the sacristy for all her help & preparation & to Ross Scanlon & Will Woods for such fabulous music.
Thank you to all our family who took part in the liturgy of the Mass & to George’s long-time colleague & friend Kieran Connelly for his kind words.
Thanks also to the staff of The Glenview for their hospitality, Tom Wheatley for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
George’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 19th September at 11.30am in Holy Rosary Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the church webcam
