The family of the late Gerard (Gerry) Garvey of Moneymore, Drogheda who passed away peacefully on 11th February would like to express our thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, Mass cards, letters, beautiful flowers and condolences on rip.ie.

 

Our sincere thanks to Dr. O’Neill and the wonderful staff of oriel 2 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for the fantastic care and kindness shown to Gerry during his illness, also a special thanks to the staff of St. James and St. Luke’s Hospital for their wonderful care and  expertise on Gerry’s ongoing journey.

 

Thank you to Fr. Pedro for such a lovely Mass, Rebecca and Jennifer for the beautiful music and our heartfelt thanks to Natasha for such a personal and fitting tribute to Gerry. Many thanks to the Palliative Care Team and Primary Care Unit that looked after Gerry along with his fantastic Carer’s at home.

 

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who came out to show their respect along the route from Gerry’s home to the Church, we were overwhelmed.

 

Thank you to my absolutely fantastic neighbours and friends who supported us by joining us in person or via the live streamed Mass to pay tribute and participate in the Mass.

 

Thank you to Michael and staff of Crosslanes, Pharmacy. Thank you to Townley Funeral Directors who once again showed such kindness to us on Gerry’s parting. A very special thanks to Aidan Townley who went above and beyond to show Gerry such compassion and kindness, you a truly blessed.

 

Gerry will be deeply missed and will always be remembered.

 

As it is impossible to thank everybody individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation.

 

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

 

Gerry’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 10th March at 12 noon in Our Lady of Lourdes Church and can be viewed live on  www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie
