We, the family of the late Gretta O’Reilly would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us in our recent bereavement. Thank you to all those who called to the funeral home, who sent mass cards, messages of condolence and those who attended Gretta’s removal, funeral mass and burial. Thanks to those who made a donation to NCBI in Gretta’s memory.

 

We thank the staff in the former Arus Mhuire and the new Joe and Helen O’Toole Community Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Gretta in her final years. We also thank the day care facilities in Arus Mhuire and The Wheelchairs for their support prior to full-time care. Thanks to the staff in the local library for the carefully chosen audio books that Gretta enjoyed.

 

We thank the doctors in Tuam (Dr. McGarry in recent years) for their professional care. Also, to Gretta’s wonderful carers who looked after Gretta in her home. We thank U.H.G. for the excellent care Gretta received over the years and in particular in her last days in St. Anne’s Ward.

 

We are most grateful to Fr Pat Farragher for his kindness and guidance in preparing for the funeral mass. We thank him for celebrating such a meaningful mass and to Carmel McLoughlin for her beautiful singing.

 

Thank you to Mannion’s Funeral Undertakers, Glenamaddy for their professionalism and compassion which we greatly appreciated and thanks to the gravediggers for preparing Gretta’s resting place. We also thank Fr. Anthaiah Pudota for attending at Boyounagh cemetery and saying the graveside prayers.

 

Thanks to Raftery’s Oakland, Glenamaddy and staff for the warm hospitality and lovely food.

 

A special word of thanks to Gretta’s friends who called to her on a regular basis, for all your kindness, camaraderie and support for Gretta over the years in Tuam.

 

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest appreciation and gratitude.
