 Henry Booth

Gurteen, Castlecomer, Kilkenny

Lily and family would like to acknowledge and express our appreciation of the many gestures of sympathy and kindness shown to us following Henry’s death. We thank our extended family, relations, friends and neighbours for their practical help and kindness.

A special word of thanks to Ken Wilson who worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly for the family following Henry’s passing. To all who attended the graveside service, phoned, emailed, sent texts, beautiful flowers, cards and letters of comfort. Thank you all.

Unfortunately, due to the Corona Virus restrictions we were unable to mark Henry’s passing as we would have liked with a wake, welcoming everyone to our home.  We were very touched by all those neighbours, friends and the Railyard Football Club who stood to show their respect as the cortège passed from Henry’s home to the Colliery Church.

A special word of thanks to the Public Health nurses from Clogh, Phyl O’Rourke and the team of carers who not only provided the best of care to Henry but shared many laughs and stories with him.

Our gratitude to Dr Prasad, Dr McGovern, Dr Leavey, St Luke’s Hospital staff, Castlecomer District Hospital staff, Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare team, Rev David Compton and Rev Ian Coulter who made Henry’s final journey easier.

Thank you to those who helped to organise the graveside funeral service, Rev Ian Coulter, Moran’s Undertakers, Church Wardens, Pall Bearers, Traffic controllers and Marion Fitzpatrick who supplied the lovely flowers.

As we may not get to thank you all individually please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our family’s sincere gratitude.

“Till we meet again”
