Irene Davy (nee Frisby) of Hillview and formerly of Morley Terrace, Waterford passed peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on the 30th of May 2021.
Husband Cormac, sons Rob, Brian, Alan, Steven, Wayne, daughter in laws, grandchildren, brothers and sisters wish to acknowledge the expressions of sympathy, gestures of kindness and the support extended to us in our heart-breaking loss.
The family expresses our gratitude and heartfelt thanks to our extended families, neighbours, friends and colleagues; to everyone that came to sympathise, sent Mass cards, letters and posted online messages of condolences, we are immensely grateful for your thoughtfulness and memories of mam that you share with us.
Sincere thanks to Fr. Cullinan from the Cathedral of The Most Holy Trinity, for his prayers officiating the funeral mass, to soloist Caroline Reid who sang beautifully, the funeral directors Thompson’s for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.
We express our gratitude to Irene’s G.P. Dr. Tadgh O’Carroll, specialist consultants and the staff of the Cherry Ward and Medical 1 of University Hospital Waterford for their dedicated care and support shown at all times.
Thank you to those who stood outside her home, outside the church and everyone who met the cortege at Ballygunner Cemetery. To all the family and friends that could not attend in person because of lock down restrictions, but joined online, thank you for being with us and participating in Irene’s funeral service.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
The Month’s Mind mass for Irene will be held on the 2nd of July at 10.30am in Cathedral of The Most Holy Trinity, Waterford, the mass will also be streamed live on https://www.churchservices.tv/waterfordcath
