The family of the late Ita Collins R.I.P. who sadly passed away on December 21st 2020, wish to express their most sincere gratitude to all who supported them in their recent sad loss.
Very special thanks the doctors and staff of the Galway Clinic for the excellent care of Ita at each of her admissions over the previous 2 years and in particular in her last days. The care she received from the ICU doctors and staff went far above and beyond what could be expected. The dignity with which she was treated was first class and truly Christian in spirit. It will never be forgotten. Special thanks to Professor William Joyce who took such great care of Ita and fought hard to save her life. Thanks also to Rev. Fr. John Keane Hospital Chaplain who kindly administered the last sacraments and who offered Holy Mass for Ita before she passed away. A very special word of thanks to the staff and nurses of the Mother Theresa Unit who were always so kind to Ita and always went the extra mile to ensure her comfort. A very special thank youi to Anna the Polish lady from the kitchen for her very special love and attention for Ita during her stays. God Bless you Anna.
A very special thanks also to the Priests of the Institute of Christ the King who looked after her spiritual needs over the last number of years. Their wonderful care will always be remembered.
A very sincere thanks too to her many wonderful friends at the Sacred Heart Church for their constant support and prayers during her years of illness. Your love and support will never be forgotten and may the Lord reward you all greatly.
Our sincere gratitude to Canon Lebocq and Canon De-Martin for the beautiful funeral mass in the Tridentine Rite which Ita loved so much and for the Latin Rite funeral and burial service. Your beautiful chants lifted the hearts of all to the things of heaven. Special thanks to the Choir and Organist of the Sacred Heart Church for making it such a beautiful liturgy. Special thanks to the members of the TFP, Damien and Gregory who played the pipes in tribute in the funeral procession.
To the grave diggers who did a sterling job in trying conditions, your kind attention to every detail did not go unnoticed. Special thanks to Terry O’Brien, Haulie Condon, Vinnie McGrath, Paul Duggan, Denis Holmes, Mike Kennedy, Conor O’Malley, Dylan Kelly and her sons Daniel, John, Dermot and Christopher.
Special thanks also to Fr. Damien Ryan PP who kindly came to the house to offer prayers at the removal and who gave a wonderful oration at the burial service. God bless you Fr. Damien.
Our sincere thanks to John Meehan the Funeral Undertakers for their excellent, cordial and sensetive handling of the funeral arrangements. Your excellent service is second to none. Many thanks.
We wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and relatives who visited our home, attended the burial and supported us at this difficult time. Those of you who provided food, sent floral tributes, cards, letters, messages of condolences, phone calls, shared memories and the neighbours and friends who stood along the road as she travelled her final journey, we are so profoundly grateful. In particular we wish to thank all from far and wide who left messages of condolences on this website. Every message has been noted and appreciated and hopefully this acknowledgement will reach you also. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Rest assured the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the greatest gift we can offer, has been offered for your intentions and please God we will all meet one day in our Heavenly home in the company of our beloved Ita.
Beannach De Oribh Go Leir.

Please note Ita's first Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on December 21st at 6pm at the Sacred Heart Church Limerick.
