The Family of the late James (Jimmy) Gannon, who passed away suddenly on 5th February 2023, would like to acknowledge most sincerely all those who offered sympathy, and gestures of kindness to our family on our sad loss of a dearest loving husband, father, father in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and dear friend. 

We would like to thank the Paramedics and Beaumont Hospital Staff, for all the care Jimmy received, for the help and support they provided to our family during this challenging time. The Doctors and staff at Doctor Ibrahim surgery for the care and support over the years. The Staff of Ann’s homecare, Golden years, all the staff of Donaghmede pharmacy, Cupán Tae Memory Cafe (Naomh Barróg) thank you for giving dad and us great memories over his last few months.

We would like to express our appreciation to all at Jennings funeral home, Fr Gerry, Holy Trinity Church funeral ministry team, Stella for the beautiful singing, music and all who contributed to the celebration of Jimmy’s funeral mass.

We are so grateful to our families, friends, neighbours, and well-wishers who visited our home to offer their condolences and support us during this challenging time, those who called, sent mass cards, flowers, and messages of condolences, and those who made charitable donations. All who attended the funeral, travelled long distances, and joined online.

We are deeply grateful to Danny for his kindness and everyone who contributed the music, singsongs “Streets of London” and releasing white doves at the burial. You all did Jimmy proud words cannot express our appreciation and heartfelt thanks.

A special thanks to our family, friends, and neighbours, for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity, just being there for us, the practical, emotional support shown to us made our loss more bearable, there are no words to thank you all enough to show our gratitude and sincere appreciation for all you did.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

A friendly smile, a casual touch,

Jimmy was a beautiful melody in the rhythm of our lives
