Jim’s wife Trish, son Mark, daughter Aisling & all his family would like to extend our most sincere gratitude for the many kind expressions of sympathy & support we received at the time of Jim’s sad passing & throughout the time since. Special thanks to all those who visited the funeral home, attended Jim’s removal, funeral Mass & cremation, sent Mass cards & letters, phoned, wrote, text or sent kind messages of condolence online. Equally, to those who couldn’t be present but shared in Jim’s funeral services via livestream & those who continue to keep us in your thoughts & prayers, we thank you.
To our kind neighbours & friends, especially to the “Let It Snow” bird, we thank you for your continued support. To our dear friend Bernadette who ensured that Jim remained his dapper self & who had us all looking great as we said our farewells, we will never forget your kindness.
Particular thanks to the team in St. Anne’s Ward at St. Colmcille’s Hospital & to Irin, Marjorie & Carol who greatly assisted Trish in caring for Jim in their home, bringing such kindness, dignity & care to his final years.
Thanks to Fr Brian McKittrick for his comforting words & for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass, to Karla Tracey & Bridget Kenny for their fabulous music & to Jim’s dear friend & protégée Noel Dever for his wonderful tribute & for sharing such fond memories of Jim.
Thanks also to Fr. Joe Kennedy for his warmth, kindness & lovely committal service, to the management & staff of Mount Jerome Crematorium & to Niamh & all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors for all their help and kindness
As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Jim’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 19th December at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey.
