Jim’s wife Mary, his sons Owen, James, daughter Linda & all his family wish to thank each & every person who supported them through their recent sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, those who attended Jim’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, those who sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories & warm wishes online & all those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Jim’s life via webcam. A special thank you to those who travelled long distances to show your support & those who donated generously to Irish Guide Dogs For The Blind in Jim’s memory;
Our heartfelt thanks Dr. Nick Buggle & his team at Sheltonville Surgery for their care over the years, to Arthur & Simon who helped care for Jim for so long in the home he loved & the wonderful staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital who brought such comfort & dignity to his final days. Thank you also to the kind & helpful staff of Grant’s Pharmacy.
A very special thank you to Fr. Martin Jose for his prayers & gentle guidance & for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass & to Michael Flood & Patricia Kavanagh for such lovely music.
To Jim’s many friends from his various interests & most especially his second family in Arklow Boxing Club, we will be forever grateful for the many ways in which you showed your love & respect for Jim & your appreciation for all he did. He would have been immensely proud.
Our gratitude to the management & staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to Jason & Tom for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Jim’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 6th December at 6.30pm in St. Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;
