Jaqueline (Jackie) Whyte (née Harlow)

Whyte's Shop, Mullagh, Loughrea, Co. Galway.

Jackie’s husband Bernard, daughter Angela, sons Alan and Conor, grandchildren Eliza, Callum and Lachlan Jack, son-in-law Kenneth, Alan’s partner Carol, sisters Marita and Loretta and her brother Padraig and the extended family wish to sincerely thank all who telephoned, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, sent flowers and left messages of condolence on RIP.ie. Your kind and sincere offerings gave us great comfort at this difficult time.

Thank you to the friends, neighbours and staff who without thought, came and gave the family support during the days following Jackie’s passing. We're sincerely grateful for the generosity shown by all those who called to our home and brought food and refreshments.

We appreciate all those who attended Jackie’s Reposal & Funeral Mass and to relatives and friends who travelled long distances to be with us.

We would like to sincerely thank Fr. Niall Foley for celebrating Jackie’s life in a most beautiful Requiem Mass.

Thanks to Carmel Dempsey who provided beautiful music and singing during Jackie’s funeral Mass.

Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Sean Cleary and all the staff in Kilboy’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support and guidance throughout this difficult and sad time.

Thank you to Maggie Mays and the Meadow Court for the lovely meal following Jackie’s Cremation and Burial.

A sincere thanks to the kind staff at the oncology unit at Portiuncula and Galway University Hospital, the Galway Hospice in-patient and community team, the night nurses from the Irish Cancer Society, the Loughrea Public Health Nurses and to Dr. Eilis Foran and her team of the Lakeshore Medical Team, Loughrea, for the great care, respect and professionalism shown to Jackie and our family at all times.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. In gratitude, a Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions.

She was a mother so very rare,

Content in her home and always there,

On earth she toiled, in Heaven she rests,

God bless you mother; you were one of the best.

Month’s Mind Mass for Jackie will be held on Saturday, 7th September, at 8pm

in St. Brendan’s Church, Mullagh.
