Jarlath Creaven

 Jarlath Creaven

Tumnahulla, Corrandulla, Galway

Jarlath’s wife Rose, daughters, Donna and Ruth, mother in law Frances Cooley, grandchildren, sons-in-laws, brothers, sisters and extended family wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. To those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations to the Galway Hospice, we are truly grateful.

We express a special word of thanks and deep appreciation to all those who cared for Jarlath over the last number of months, the management, nurses and staff of the Turloughmore Health Centre, the Galway Clinic and especially the Galway Hospice for their kindness, respect and compassion shown at all times.

Thanks to Annaghdown GAA for presenting our family with a memorial jersey in recognition of Jarlath’s membership over the years.

To Jarlath’s work colleagues of Natus, we are eternally grateful for their incredible support given to Jarlath during his illness, their continuing support to his family, and for their proud guard of honour at the funeral.

Thanks to the gravediggers who prepared Jarlath’s final resting place so beautifully and carefully, to the volunteers who helped steward the car parking, and to Myles and Michelle Connelly for kindly facilitating parking at the graveyard.

We wish to extend a warm and special thank you to Fr. Cunningham for his visits, prayers and comforting words over the last few months and to all those who participated in the Mass, including Fr. Farragher, the readers and musicians.

We also wish to thank the management and staff of the Claregalway Hotel for the lovely meal after the funeral.

We finally would like to thank Martin Hanley Funeral Directors, for their sensitive and professional handling of all arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month's Mind Mass for Jarlath Creaven will take place on Friday, 25th March, at 7pm in St. Brendan’s Church, Corrandulla.

Much loved and sadly missed every day by your loving family.

We never leave, we never die, we never pass away,
For in the hearts of those we loved, we stay, forever, stay.
There is no empty loneliness, no darkness or despair,
For in the hearts of those we loved, we're there, we're always there.
For in the hearts of those we loved, the love will never cease,
And in that knowledge, we shall sleep, and find eternal peace.
