Acknowledgment and First Anniversary 29th April 2021
As we remember my dearly loved lifelong companion JJ, Dad of Stephen, we wish to express our sincere thanks to our family Evelyn, Yvonne and Cian, relatives and friends, especially Andrew, Lucia and Carolyne. We would like to acknowledge all those who sent condolences online, mass cards and text messages, and to everyone that travelled.
Our sincere thanks to the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital Staff, in particular, Professor Patrick Sheahan and all the staff at the High Dependency Unit. Also, Dr Sarah Sheehan his GP for many years along with the receptionists Mary and Sylvia.
We especially want to thank Billy Hourihan and staff from Sullivan’s Funeral Home for their professionalism and for the dignified manner of the funeral arrangements, also Fr Dan Crowley from the Holy Family Church Military Hill, singer Sarah Burke Hochstedler and the organist Anna Lavelle, to the Island Crematorium and the grave diggers who prepared JJ's final resting place.
Today is such a painful day, full of sadness and grief for me as
I mourn the moment that you left recalling how life used to be.
You were someone very special who left your mark on so many lives,
things just haven't been the same since we said goodbye.
The bond we shared will never end even though we are apart,
I find comfort in the memories deep within my heart,
This heartfelt message is for you, I miss you more than words can say,
the world lost someone precious on the day you went away.
