Acknowledgment and First Anniversary

6th July 2021

With cherished memories of JEREMIAH on his first anniversary, we his family and extended family wish to express our gratitude for the support and kindness shown to us on our sad loss.

Due to restrictions, many could not pay their respects in the traditional manner but offered support in their own special ways. We would like to thank our relatives, neighbours and friends who said their last goodbyes to Jeremiah by lining the roadside to Cloyne and who joined us at the church and cemetery. We thank the neighbours and friends who helped us during Jeremiah’s final days at home in so many practical ways. To those who travelled long distances to be with us and to those who sent Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy, phone calls and left messages of condolences on RIP.ie we are truly grateful.

We wish to thank the Medical team in CUH that looked after Jeremiah. Thanks to Dr. Seán McCarthy and staff in Ballycotton Medical Centre and the CarePlus Pharmacy in Cloyne. Thanks to the home help ladies for their support and care.

Sincere thanks to Fr. Oliver O’Brien for celebrating such a meaningful Mass and to Fr. Pat Lenihan for supporting us through a difficult time. Thanks to Kitty, Organist and Nina, Singer for their beautiful music and singing. Thanks to Betty, Sacristan for her help at all times.  To the Harty family of Harty’s Bar & Restaurant we thank you for all the food and refreshments provided. Finally, to Anthony of Hyde’s Funeral Directors who was so kind and professional, we thank you.

As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually for all your support, not only during Jeremiah’s life but also since his death, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

Jeremiah’s Anniversary Mass will be celebrated Sunday, July 3rd, at 11:30am in St. Colman’s Church, Cloyne.

Your life was one of kindly deeds,
A helping hand for others needs,
Sincere and true in heart and mind,
Beautiful memories left behind.

May he Rest in Peace
