Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
16th August 2023
As we remember Jim on his First Anniversary (a dear husband, father, grandad, brother and friend), who is so dearly loved and missed, we wish to express our deepest appreciation to all who sympathised with us on our sad loss.
We thank Jim’s brothers, sisters, extended family, dear friends and neighbours who went above and beyond, making his life so rich and provided solace to the family during such a difficult time.
We wish to acknowledge the doctors, nurses, staff and pastoral care team at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, who took such diligent care of Jim and family during his illness. We thank David Lane and the staff of Blackrock Medical Centre for the excellent care and attention to Jim over many years. To the HSE and Home Instead Care Teams for the personal care provided to Jim in his own home.
Our thanks to Fr. Seán O’Sullivan for his kindness and for making the Funeral Mass so beautiful and personal; to Audrey Lynch and Tony O’Shea for their musical contribution. To Joe Coughlan and his staff for the empathy, support and professionalism provided through the Funeral period and to Michelle for the beautiful flowers.
To Na Piarsaigh Hurling, Football and Camogie Club for the wonderful support throughout Jim’s illness and the tributes paid to him.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude and appreciation.
Remembering you is so easy, we do it every day,
Missing you is a heartache that will never go away.
Sadly missed by your beloved wife Merdette, sons Ken, Shane and Alan, daughters-in-law Faye, Trish and Danielle, grandchildren Darragh, Isabelle, Olivia, Emma-Jane, Lucy, Sean and Jamie
