On this Jim’s first anniversary, his wife Marian, daughters Katrina & Michele, sons Eddie & James, granddaughters Lauren and Olivia, sisters Aileen & Liz, son-in-law Wayne, daughter-in-law Eleanor and extended families wish to sincerely thank everyone who offered their sympathies and supported us on the sad occasion of Jim’s passing.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful family, our neighbours and our treasured friends who generously provided us with emotional and practical support during this difficult time. To those who provided us with food, send Mass cards, letters of sympathy, phone calls, floral tributes, memorial gifts and expressed their condolences on RIP.ie we thank you most sincerely.  Thank you to those who, under the time of Covid restrictions, were unable to attend the funeral Mass but paid a moving tribute outside our home and along the route to the church and graveyard.

A special word of thanks to our neighbours Paul and Elaine McCarthy, nurse Avril Sinnott, the Paramedics, An Garda Siochana and Dr. David Curtis who were so quick to respond to our urgent call, we will be eternally grateful to you all for everything you did for Jim on that day.

Our thanks to Fr. John O’Reilly for his spiritual support and comforting words. Thank you to Tricia, Noel, Linda and Ian for the thoughtfully chosen hymns and music.  Thank you to Sean & Carol Kearney for all their help and guidance and to the gravediggers for preparing Jim’s final resting place.

A special thank you to our beloved Sarsfields family for the beautiful guard of honor on the day of Jim’s funeral.  Jim cherished your friendships and your unwavering support to all of us has not gone unnoticed.  To Alan Ahearne and Killian Boggan for the wonderful tributes in this paper, we will treasure those words forever.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable.  As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.  The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
