 Joe Duggan

Novara Avenue, Bray, Wicklow / Lismore, Waterford

Duggan, Joe of Novara Ave, Bray Co.Wicklow and formerly Toor, Lismore, Co.Waterford.

Joe’s children Joseph, Angela, Carmel, Brendan, Maria, John, Julie, Jenny and Conor, his grandchildren, daughters and sons in-law, together with his extended family wish to express their most heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and support shown to them during Joe’s funeral and in the weeks since.

While the high rates of COVID 19 at the time did not afford so many people the opportunity to pay their respects in person, we are most grateful for the lovely cards, letters, phone calls, texts and online messages we received.

Sincere thanks to all those who joined in the online celebration of Joe’s Funeral Mass, paid their respects as his cortège processed through the neighbourhood, to those who kept us in their thoughts and prayers, and to those who made donations in Joe’s memory to St. Joseph’s Centre for Dementia Care, Shankill, as was his request. We are forever grateful.

The family wish to thank the paramedics James, Claire and Scotty,  the specialist nurses from the CPCT Tracy and Siobhán, Drs. Peter Marshall and Leah Roche, and most especially, Elizabeth and all his carers, who provided Joe with such loving support since Eva’s passing.

We gratefully appreciate the contribution to the Mass made by the singer Ross Scanlon and organist Vincent Lynch, whose singing and music brought such beauty to the celebration of Joe’s life.

A special word of thanks to Rev. Fr. Michael O’Kelly and Fr. Dan Nguyen,  who celebrated Joe’s  Funeral Mass and led the prayers at his cremation service respectively.  We are so grateful to them for his lovely send off, for being so kind and considerate and for making the celebration of Joe’s life such a memorable occasion.

Special thanks also to all at Mark Kinsella Funeral Directors for their professional and kind support.

We would like to thank the staff of the Martello for their wonderful  service at Joe’s reception.

Thanks also to the Gardaí for their support and assistance on the day of the funeral and at Joe’s wake.

To our own extended families, our neighbours, friends and colleagues, your support, kindness, companionship and friendship are much appreciated, and will never ever be forgotten.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as an expression of our sincere appreciation.
