As John’s First anniversary approaches, we, his loving wife Eileen, sons Stephen, Christopher & Niall, his brother Ned, sister Catherine and families, would like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to our extended families, good friends, workmates, kind neighbours and all who supported us in the loss of John. Sincere thanks to all those who attended John’s funeral, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us, your presence was a great comfort. To those who sent floral tributes, Mass/Enrolment cards, online condolences, phone calls, those who came to our house with food; thank you, we appreciated every gesture of kindness shown.
We would like to acknowledge Fr. Buckley and thank him for a lovely ceremony and Margaret Griffin for all her help and guidance at that time. A special mention also for Ger Walshe, whose beautiful singing contributed to making John’s Mass so special.
To the undertakers Michael & Patricia Crowley and staff, thank you for your sensitivity and professionalism during the funeral. It was much appreciated.
Thank you to Dr. Andy Lyne, and to the staff in South Infirmary and Ward GB, CUH for their great care during John’s illness. A special word of thanks To Dr. Mary Jane O’ Leary, Dr Adrian, to the nursing and ancillary staff in Marymount Hospice for the exceptional care and support offered not only to John, but to us as a family as well, in his last days. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, the holy sacrifice of the Mass is offered in appreciation of all.
Johns’ 1st Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 1st 2025 at St. Senan’s Church Cloghroe at 7.30 p/m.
