 John Cummins

Martina, Lydia, Isabelle, JV and The Cummins Family wish to thank everyone for the kindness, love and support, shown to them in so many ways during and since their sad loss.To our extended families, dear neighbours, relations and friends, words cannot express our gratitude for your sympathy to us.A sincere thank you to all who travelled to be with us at this difficult time. To all those who visited, phoned, called to the funeral home, attended the funeral, sent cards and flowers, offered assistance and words of empathy to us or tributes to John, we are truly grateful.

Sincere thanks to Chief celebrant, Fr Norman Jennings, Fr Michael Gormally and co-celebrants for their kind and comforting ministrations. The Ballinrobe Folk Choir, for their amazing performance which made the funeral Mass truly memorable. To Sean McCormack for producing the most wonderful Mass booklet which we were so pleased with, also Ann McGrath for having the church looking so lovely with her beautiful floral arrangements. We thank Vincent Cummins and Richard Mellotte for their professionalism and guidance with regard to the funeral arrangements and the grave diggers for their work. Much appreciation is owed to the Cummins staff and our suppliers for their help and understanding.

We would like to acknowledge those who acted as parking attendants and to the various club members, BEO members and JV’s classmates who formed dignified guards of honour as John made his final journey to the cemetery. Our heartfelt thanks to Edward Lynch and the staff at Fairhill House Hotel, to Trevor & Marie at Flannery’s for their superb catering.

We are sorry that we did not get a chance to speak to everyone at John’s funeral but are so pleased and proud that you were able to attend. As it is impossible to thank all those concerned individually, please accept this press acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

To lose you was unbearable

And time and time again

We have tried to find a reason

But no one can explain

Life and death holds mysteries

But nothing is for sure

We loved you then

We love you now and we’ll love you for evermore

John’s Remembrance Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Ballinrobe, on Saturday, September 24, at 7:30pm.

Rest In Peace
