Who passed away peacefully from this life on the 22nd April in the wonderful care of his loving family and the staff of University Hospital, Galway.
Johnny’s wife Nancy, children Patricia, Caroline, Sean and Ann, brother Tony, sister Margaret, daughter-in-law Pauline, sons-in-law Leo, Chris and Tomás, grandchildren Jack, James, Christopher, Patrick, John, Oisin, Liam, Patrick and Eve, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and extended family wish to sincerely thank all who called to the house, telephoned, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, sent flowers and left messages of condolence on RIP. Your kind and sincere offerings gave us great comfort at this difficult time.
Thank you to the friends & neighbours who without thought, came and gave the family support during the days following Johnny’s passing. We're sincerely grateful for the generosity shown by all those who called to our home and brought food and refreshments.
We appreciate all those who attended Johnny’s Reposal & Funeral Mass and to relatives and friends who travelled long distances to be with us and celebrate Johnny’s wonderful life.
We would like to sincerely thank Msgr Geraghty, Fr. Sean Neylon, Fr. Sean Egan and Fr. Raymond Sweeney for celebrating Johnny’s life in a most beautiful Requiem Mass.
Thanks to Carmel Dempsey for providing beautiful music and singing during Johnny’s funeral Mass.
A heartful thanks to Lakeshore Medical Centre, Leahy’s pharmacy, the Cardiac and Diabetic Teams in Portiuncula University Hospital, the Public Health nurses in St Brendan’s Home, and especially the nurses and doctors in the Shannon ward at UCHG for the exceptional care and attention given to Johnny. The kindness and compassion shown to Johnny was exemplary.
A sincere thanks to the wonderful gravediggers for the careful attention given to preparing Johnny’s final resting place.
Thank you to Clement and the Corbett family in the Meadow Court for the lovely meal following the funeral.

Johnny’s Months Mind Mass will take place in St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea on 25th May at 11am on what would have been Johnny’s 83rd birthday.
