The family of the late Johnny O’Reilly, who passed away on 17th September 2025, wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with them on their sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who supported us during this difficult time. Our relatives, neighbours, friends and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, funeral Mass (in person or via webcam), and burial. We are especially grateful to those who travelled long distances, sent Mass cards, flowers, messages of sympathy and kind donations to the Wicklow hospice.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robert Foster, the medical team at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, the Wicklow Hospice Palliative Care Team, the Cancer Support Night Nurses, the community nursing team, and carers, who helped us care for Johnny with such kindness and compassion.
Special thanks to Fr. Pádraig Ó Cochláin for his comforting presence, prayers, and the beautiful funeral Mass and burial. To Micheál Flood and Trish for their beautiful music during the Mass. Your music brought great comfort to us all.
We also wish to thank Helena and the Hudson Funeral Directors, for your care, guidance, and professionalism. To Jason and Tom for preparing Johnny’s final resting place and to the Arklow Bay Hotel. Your help meant so much to us.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Johnny’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary & Peter’s Church, Arklow, on Sunday, 19th October, at 11:30 a.m.
